You decide to make a run for it. The two armored men rushing at you probably expect you to either stay there or turn tail, so you rush straight between them instead. Slamming into their sides, you get yourself a set of sore ribs, but they miss you on this first pass. Just like "Red Fire Lizard" you think, recalling the childhood game in which opposing teams would form a line, and players would attempt to break through that line.
Of course, when you were a child, everyone wanted you on their team. Now, it's clear someone wants you out of the picture.
You hear a clatter of steel behind you as one of the soldiers picks up his knife. Dropping your arm down, still running, you scoop up a rock, twist your body, and throw it at the guard with the knife. It collides with his head, and you see him fall to the floor--
Just as the floor beneath you ends and you find yourself falling into an even deeper darkness! You scream, not the piercing shriek of your dragon form, but a nonetheless high-pitched shriek which seems to hit some kind of resonance in the cave, for you hear rumbling and a few rocks falling just before you hit--
Thud
Some time later, you awaken to find yourself lying in a nearly pitch-black cavern. Nearly, because there are patches of glowing lichen on the walls, casting a faint blue light over the cave. It seems to be smaller than the one in which you were held, only about four meters high and maybe ten in any direction. Of course, somewhere up there in the darkness of the ceiling must be the hole through which you fell.
Beside you there is a small stream, bubbling along, entering from a low arch at one side of the cavern and passing through a slightly higher arch at the other. The stream bed has more of the lichen than the other walls, so the stream appears to glow with that blue light. You are terribly thirsty (not to mention sore everywhere), and you crawl over to the stream to refresh yourself.
Recovering slightly, and muttering thanks for your dragon-enhanced sight, you stand up and start looking for other openings. Unfortunately, you see none, and the walls are too steep to climb. Your half-dragon claws might be enough to help you scale it, but you might not fit through the opening when you find it.
The stream opening looks as if you could fit through it. If it stays wide enough, you might be able to get through to another section of the caves.
Or you might simply entrap yourself further...
