I just watched TRON: Legacy. All the talk of free software, free systems, etc. made me realize: the plot of the original (1982) movie can be summarized as “Information wants to be free.”
I didn’t get to finish seeing the new one since the projector malfunctioned. Neat summary of the original.
The last movie I saw where the projector broke down was The Messenger (the Joan of Arc film starring Milla Jovovich). It seemed appropriate that the film burned through. I still haven’t seen the end, though — I should pull it off Netflix sometime.
