Re-Reading Les Misérables

I’m listening to a 2010 Les Mis recording. [Edit: probably this one] I’d forgotten the 25th Anniversary changes cut a third of “Castle on a Cloud.” The song’s short enough already!

I suppose that’s one reason the singing style in the movie didn’t bug me: I’ve listened to so many different cast recordings that I’m used to different performances. There’s no single, canonical sound.

On the other hand, some of the cuts and changes to the lyrics still bug me.
