We’ve been meaning to get a picture of this for weeks, but it’s tough to get while driving past. So finally we just stopped at a nearby parking lot and Katie went out to take the picture:

Sign: A Unique Christian Thrift Store; Window: Sizzling Summer Sale (with flames!)

Ignore the abuse of quotation marks for now, and consider this: a Christian store has painted all its windows with flames.

Every once in a while, something that I see every day will just strike me differently. For instance, this bit from the sign printed on the window outside the lobby where I work:

NO SOLICITORS
In Case of Emergency Call…

On the same corner where a few weeks ago someone had placed “Atomic X For Governor” signs, Katie and I saw a new parody. There’s a candidate in a local election named Brett Floyd, and someone had gotten neon pink cardboard and written up a “Vote Pink Floyd” sign.

For once we actually had a camera in the car, but couldn’t get it out fast enough.

Update November 7!

We got a photo on Saturday, and finally got the pictures back! It was too blurry to read, so it’s overly processed, but here it is:
Two campaign signs reading 'Vote Brett Floyd' and 'Vote Pink Floyd'
