Upgraded to WordPress 2.1.1. Supposedly should’ve fixed the PHP 5.2 problems. In reality, they’re worse unchanged. Bug 3354 is marked fixed, but it seems to have only been fixed on the 2.0 series.

Fixing Feed Problems with WordPress 2.0.6 and PHP 5.2
Upgraded to WordPress 2.0.6 and now feeds are broken. At least, they’re broken in Firefox, IE7, and KDE (Konqueror & Akregator). Something seems to be interrupting the transfer, causing them to get a blank file…
Pure CSS Firefox Buttons
The basic idea is that instead of a graphic, you use a basic text link with the structure: <a><span>Get</span> Firefox</a>
and style it to appear like this: Get Firefox

Creating CSS Buttons
Several months ago, I went on a minor site optimizing kick. One thing I decided to do was replace the validation labels with something smaller, less obtrusive, and directly on the page. I tried to duplicate the look of the classic antipixel-style buttons by splitting a link into two <span> elements, but had so much trouble getting borders and height to match up correctly that I wrote it off completely.
After a while I came back to it, and started with very simple buttons like this:
